When is the crown of life?

In many developed countries, the average life expectancy is around 80 years. When is the crown of such a long life in these countries? Is it resilient young age or energetic working age? Some people may think that younger is better and that the crown of life comes at a younger age.

However, such a concept was a socially accepted idea in the past. Once theory of the Third Age emerged, some gerontologists consider that the crown of life comes at not one's younger age but the Third Age.

When, where, why, and who set forth this theory? What is the Third Age? Does everyone have a crown of life? Find out answers to these questions in three-level (basics, depth, and application) pages: Theory of the Third Age?
